The reporting conference held on December 4th this year at the premises of the Training and Vocational Courses Center in Shymkent by Intergas Central Asia, JSC, the subsidiary company of KazTransGas, JSC, the national operator in the gas sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan, focused on the issues of occupational safety and environment.
The management of Intergas Central Asia considers the system of administration of labour and occupational safety as a crucial element in the overall management of the Companys business activities and commits itself to control the industrial risks affecting the life and health of the employees. 
In this context, the meeting was aimed to address and resolve issues on health and safety throughout the entire workflow of at all levels of governance. The reports and presentations delivered during the meeting, stressed the priority and implementation in the Companys branches of consistent set of social and economic, organizational and technical, and legal measures targeted at establishing and maintaining of safe and healthy work environment, strengthening production and labor discipline at the workplace.
Following the meeting results, the heads of branches and structural divisions of the Company received instructions to tighten supervision and enforce control and compliance by all employees of legislative requirements in the field of occupational safety, industrial, fire and environmental safety, as well as to strengthen the control over the punctual, timely and proper execution of orders, instructions, protocols and operating directives of the central office concerning the industrial and occupational safety, health and environment.
According to the words of the participants, the session was marked with high awareness level being the evidence of the appropriate selection of the main discussion topic. The attendees back up the unanimous opinion that ongoing supervision over the compliance with the requirements in the field of health, safety and environment, as well as the efforts to enhance social stability in the Company, consistent upgrading of the personnels skills and competences through the direct staff involvement, all combined, allow to ensure and maintain the required level of safety.

Intergas Central Asia was established in July 1997 to directly manage under the terms of concession the main gas transmission infrastructure in Kazakhstan. Intergas Central Asia is a member of KazTransGas, JSC group of companies (a subsidiary of the NС KazMunayGas, JSC). Intergas Central Asia manages the major gas transportation network with the total length in excess of 14,000 km and annual throughput capacity up to 190 bcm.
