QAZAQGAZ HOLDS COORDINATION MEETING ON 2025–2026 WINTER READINESS
30.06.2025

 As part of preparations for the upcoming 2025–2026 autumn-winter season, QazaqGaz held a coordination meeting chaired by First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Meirbek Ikhsanov, with participation from subsidiaries and affiliated enterprises.

As part of preparations for the upcoming 2025–2026 autumn-winter season, QazaqGaz held a coordination meeting chaired by First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, Meirbek Ikhsanov, with participation from subsidiaries and affiliated enterprises.

Currently, the overall readiness of gas distribution systems stands at 52%. Ongoing efforts include maintenance of gas regulation points (46% complete), cabinet and modular regulation units (47%), shut-off device servicing (58%), electrochemical protection systems (56%), and pipeline inspections (42%).

A total of 72,200 kilometers of gas distribution networks and infrastructure are being operated safely and reliably by 4,064 production staff — all fully equipped with protective workwear and gear.

In addition to routine seasonal work, the company plans to carry out major repairs addressing 367 pipeline defects, with 284 already resolved (excluding work under the “Central Asia–Center” pipeline project to transport Russian gas to Uzbekistan).

The maintenance plan also includes equipment overhauls and facility modernization, such as:

Overhaul of two NK-12ST gas turbine engines at CS-12 on the Bukhara–Ural pipeline;

Servicing of key equipment at the Poltoratskoye and Akyrtobe compressor stations along the BGR–TBA pipeline;

Replacement of defective pipe segments along the Soyuz, Orenburg–Novopskov, and Kartaly–Rudny pipelines.

Additionally, QazaqGaz has allocated extra funding for 2025 to enhance system reliability, reduce the risk of accidents, prevent third-party damage and carbon monoxide incidents, and address issues like low gas pressure. These steps are part of the company’s broader commitment to ensuring safe and uninterrupted gas supply during the winter season.
