In his welcoming address to the forum participants, the Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov emphasized: "The forum was organized to unite the common efforts of all portfolio companies to ensure the safety of each employee of the fund group." In turn, the Managing Director for Corporate Governance, Social and Labor Relations, and Labor Protection of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Gibrat Auganov, said that at the end of last year, the Fund approved the Action Plan for industrial safety for 2023, which contains 38 specific measures to 3 directions:

 

1. People and improving the level of safety culture;

 

2. Ensuring safety during the operation of process equipment;

 

3. Prevention of emergencies.

 

"The process of improving industrial safety management systems in portfolio companies and implementing measures aimed at preventing injuries and accidents is under the constant control of the Fund," G. Auganov said.

 

The Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" Sanzhar Zharkeshov spoke at the panel session with the first heads of portfolio companies of JSC "Samruk-Kazyna". Sanzhar Zharkeshov answered how the company ensures industrial safety at workplaces and when working with machines and equipment.

 

"As part of production and internal control, QazaqGaz has adopted multi-level control, in which workers and top managers take part. Top management visits production sites at least once a quarter. This is a separate production and internal control level," said Sanzhar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz.

 

It should be noted that QazaqGaz develops an Action Plan for industrial safety every year, considering the identified risks and hazards in industrial safety, labor protection, and environmental protection.
