The projects are being implemented on a priority basis as part of the execution of the instructions of the head of state to improve the reliability of gas supply to the Mangistau region and ensure the country's energy security.

 

So, in February 2023, the national company QazaqGaz began construction of the second line of the Beineu-Zhanaozen gas pipeline. According to the technological scheme of the project, the total length of the second string of the gas pipeline will be 308 km, the throughput capacity will be 5.8 billion m3/year. According to the schedule, 30% of the total scope of work has been completed to date. Commissioning is scheduled for December 2023.

 

According to the second priority project "Overhaul of three lines of the Zhanaozen-Zhetybai-Aktau" main gas pipeline, 93% of construction and installation works have been completed. According to the work schedule, completion of construction and commissioning is scheduled for September 2023. However, given the importance of the uninterrupted operation of the gas pipeline for the region, the contractor is performing work ahead of schedule.

 

The Zhanaozen-Zhetybai-Aktau gas transmission system, which has been in operation for more than 40 years, consists of three lines and is a continuation of the Okarem-Beyneu main gas pipeline, which covers the demand for natural gas in the Mangistau region, the city of Aktau and large industrial enterprises of the region such as MAEK and others. .

 

According to Meirbek Ikhsanov, the implementation of these megaprojects will increase the capacity and throughput of the gas transmission system, cover the growing volumes of natural gas consumption in the Mangistau region. All this will ensure a stable gas supply to settlements, large enterprises, the operation of which directly depends on reliable and uninterrupted gas transportation for generating electricity, heat and water supply to the population, social facilities and industrial enterprises in the region, as well as preventing emergency situations and eliminating the risk of gas supply interruptions, as a strategically important services to the population of the region.

 

In addition, the implementation of projects will have a favorable multiplier effect on the socio-economic development of the region, will contribute to the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the creation of new jobs, as well as improving the quality of life of the population.
