In the first half of 2014, the aggregate volume of natural gas transported through the main gas pipelines operated by Intergas Central Asia, JSC (a subsidiary of KazTransGas group of companies) amounted to 52.6 billion m3.
Efficient operation of the main gas transportation network enabled the Company to accomplish the targeted gas transmission volume for the 2014 by 97%.
The total volume of natural gas transportation through the main gas pipelines of Intergas Central Asia, JSC includes 13.2% share, or 6.9 bcm of domestic transportation, 73% or 38.5bcm of international gas transit, and 12.5% or 6.6 bcm of natural gas transported for export.
Intergas Central Asia has been undertaking comprehensive set of actions for repairs and upgrading of the domestic main gas pipeline network aimed at enhanced reliability of international transit of natural gas and more effective use of the available pipeline infrastructure assets.
In the first half of 2014, the capital expenditure of Intergas Central Asia financed from internally generated funds totaled to 11,362 million Tenge, including 10,836 million Tenge of investments in production. By that, the targeted volume of capital investments that Intergas Central Asia, JSC intends to finance from internally generated funds in 2014 totals to 22,539 million Tenge.
Within the first quarter of the current year, the Company paid taxes and other mandatory payments to the state budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the total amount of 4,762 million Tenge.
The basic principles of Intergas Central Asia’s operations invariably imply the use of new technologies in operation of the gas transmission system, while ensuring maximum level of safety, efficiency, reliability and improved technological performance, and high level of management practice.
Intergas Central Asia was established in July 1997 to directly manage under the terms of concession the main gas transmission infrastructure in Kazakhstan. Intergas Central Asia is a member of KazTransGas, JSC group of companies (a subsidiary of the NС KazMunayGas, JSC). Intergas Central Asia manages the major gas transportation network with the total length in excess of 14,000 km and annual throughput capacity up to 190 bcm.
