National operator in the field of gas and gas supply “KazTransGas” JSC summed up the results of the group of companies for the first quarter of 2019.

According to the data, the consolidated income amounted to 343.2 billion tenge (KZT), which is 42% higher than the same period last year. At the same time, the net profit of the group of companies of “KazTransGas” JSC amounted to 75.9 billion tenge, which is higher than last year by 34.4 billion tenge or 83%.

Significant profit was received despite the coverage of losses on trade operations in the domestic market in the amount of 48.9 billion tenge, in connection with the supply of gas to domestic consumers below cost.

The national operator continues to be one of the largest taxpayers in the country. Only during the reporting period, the group of companies of “KazTransGas” JSC paid taxes and other payments to the budget in the amount of more than 40.1 billion tenge.

The volume of gas sales for the first quarter of this year amounted to 7.2 billion cubic meters, including the volume of gas sales to the domestic market amounted to 5.03 billion cubic meters, for export 2.2 billion cubic meters.
