In the main gas company of the country, KazTransGas JSC held a meeting dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The headquarters in Nur-Sultan, online, contacted the teams of the group of companies from the regions.
Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “KazTransGas” Kairat Sharipbayev congratulated on the main national holiday of Kazakhstan, and also spoke about the main achievements of the domestic gas industry.
He noted that since independence, our people have continued the great history of Kazakhstan with new achievements and successful transformations. “Kazakhstan has emerged as a sovereign country with a strong statehood and a growing national economy. By tradition, the group of companies of KazTransGas JSC celebrates this holiday with excellent results. This is very important because modern realities are such that the oil and gas sector continues to be a very significant part in the country's economy” - he said.
In recent years, KazTransGas has become the most profitable portfolio company of the Samruk-Kazyna group of companies and at the same time the most profitable asset in the country's oil and gas sector. Only foreign exchange earnings over the past 5 years amounted to 17,2 billion US dollars – a figure comparable, approximately, with the annual budget of individual countries.
As noted, if five years ago, the losses of KazTransGas amounted to 20 billion tenge, now the company is showing profit growth of an average of 20% per year. This year, KazTransGas group of companies expects a net profit of 330 billion tenge. At the same time, the group's revenue is more than 2 trillion tenge, which also became a record indicator.
Since 2014, debt decreased by 2 times, $ 6,5 billion was repaid, and total debt decreased from $ 12 billion to $ 5,7 billion.
For five years, more than 475 billion tenge has been transferred to the budget in the form of tax deductions, and this is a huge contribution to the country's economy. According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company, it can be argued that the gas industry is becoming one of the iconic areas of the Kazakhstan economy.
Today, the national operator group of companies is a powerful, modern, highly profitable company. This was made possible due to the fact that at one time a stake was made on increasing the efficiency of business processes, introducing innovative approaches to the management of gas transportation infrastructure, strengthening the personnel policy and increasing the labor productivity threefold. In five years, only profit, per employee, has grown five-fold.
All this allows for stable transit and export of gas, uninterruptedly ensure the domestic market. Neighboring states already consider Kazakhstan the most important gas partner, having assigned it the status of a Central Asian gas hub. Evidence of this can be called the resumption of transit of Turkmen gas through Kazakhstan to Russia this year via the “Central Asia – Center” main gas pipeline.
In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company noted that modern realities require new approaches - the creation of industries involved in deep gas processing and gas chemistry.
The results achieved have a positive effect on the international ratings of the company. KazTransGas JSC has two investment credit ratings from Fitch Ratings with a long-term rating of BBB- and Moody’s from Baa3, which reflects the company's strong financial stability and its high creditworthiness.
Summing up the work this year, Kairat Sharipbayev emphasized that everything planned by KazTransGas has been completed, and this is the merit of all our united team.
During the event on online communication, industry veterans, heads of subsidiaries and affiliates of KazTransGas JSC conveyed their congratulations.
The ceremony was continued with the presentation of departmental awards and diplomas to the best employees of the gas industry.
